it was a day in early autumn. the weather was nice. it was sunny and warm. colin, a twelve-year-old boy, got up early. his dog alf was sitting near his bed. colin knew that the dog wanted to go walking. he didn’t wash or eat. he only dressed himself and went out.   he took his dog to the park. in the park the dog stopped near the tree. there was something under the tree. it was a small kitten.   it was very small. it was white but very dirty. colin took the kitten home. they washed the kitten. they gave it some milk. his mother liked it. she said, "you are a good boy" colin. this kitten will be your birthday present for me. they decided to call it snow. his mother liked to say: “it dropped from the skies”.
