так устроено, что огромная часть земной поверхности по сравнению( в соотношении) с ее действительным объемом уязвима для воздуха и света. она( земная поверхность) достаточно тонка, чтобы пропустить обширный объем света к каждой клетке( имеется в виду к каждой клетке, из которых состоит земная поверхность).
