Areview of war of the worlds                by имя ) one of my favourite films is war of the worlds. it is a science fiction film starring tom cruise. the  film is based on a book written over 100 years ago, although it is set in mordern times. the story is very gripping. it is about alien machines from space which land on earth. nevertheless, the film has a happy ending. the acting is very good. tom cruise, who plays a father who is looking for his family, is excellent, as usual. however, i didn't think dakota fanning was very convincing as his daughter. the special effects were terrifying, and there were some very scary moments which i didn't enjoy. this is a classic spilberg film: fast-moving, not too violent, and full of action. in spite of the fact that it was a bit scary, overall i really enjoyed it. go and see it if you can.

There are some exchange students from russia at my school. they are very smart and friendly children who/which like laughing and having fun. they are good at learn/learning english. i think russian children are more interested in  getting/to get good marks at school than british children. they learn serious/seriously. in my opinion, russian children study hard/harder than british children. but british children ask more questions and are involved in their lessons more active/actively than russian children. though we are different we get on really good/well.
