Alex: Hi, Sonia. What are you doing? Why are you here?

Sonia: I'm looking for a vegetarian cookbook.

Alex: Do you often cook? At my home, we don't cook. Usually, my mum buys ready-made meals in the supermarket or we order pizza.

Sonia: Cooking is fun! My gran taught me to cook. She never eats fast food or ready-made meals. This week we are trying some vegetarian recipes.

Alex: I don't eat vegetables. I think they're horrible!

Sonia: They are not! Why don't you have lunch with us? Gran is making roast vegetables.

Last year my dad and I visited the USA. While we were staying in Los Angeles, we went to a basketball game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Chicago Bulls. The atmosphere inside the stadium was really exciting. Thousands of spectators were cheering. The Los Angeles Lakers scored 30 points in the last 10 minutes, but they did not win. After the game, one of the players threw the ball into the crowd and a man in front of us caught it. While we were leaving the stadium, the man gave us the ball and said, "Here's a souvenir."

Yesterday I woke up, switched off my awful alarm clock and went to the bathroom to clean my teeth. I was half asleep so I closed my eyes for a minute. Suddenly my toothbrush fell on the floor. I opened my eyes, picked up my toothbrush and washed my face with cold water to finally wake up. Then I went to the kitchen to make breakfast and feed my cat. I ate a cheese omelette and drank a lot of coffee. Back in my room I got dressed and put on my favourite jacket. I thought that the day would be great!

But when I left the house, I realised that it was Sunday and I didn't have to wake up early and go to work.
