Tom: Hiya!
Aigul: Hi! The door's open!
Tom: Here, I remembered to bring you my notebook. And what are
you doing?
Aigul: I'm surfing the Internet and trying to choose what sport to go
in for.
Tom: I thought you were always interested in dancing, art and
drawing, but not sports. Why? Maybe because of their nice
uniforms?
фAigul: Why do you think that girls always think about how they look
and nothing else?
Tom: Ok, I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings. I didn't mean to. So...
I noticed that you're looking at the martial arts mostly. Not
gymnastics or athletics, which I think are more suitable for
girls. Why?
Aigul: Last time, when we were talking about different villains and
bullies, I decided to learn how to defend myself. I think it's
very important nowadays.
Tom: You want to defend yourself? I've always thought that boys
must defend girls, mustn't they?
Aigul: Yes, you're right. But, unfortunately, not every boy can
defend himself! And more than that, there are some boys who
want to bully others, and girls in particular! That's why I
think every girl must be able to defend herself.
Tom: Yes, you must be right then. Just think twice before you've
made your choice about the sport to do. I don't think that
girls are any good at sports like boxing, for example. It's too
traumatic. And girls always worry about their appearance.
Aigul: Tom, again? Let girls decide what is good and what is not for
them by themselves.
Tom: OK, OK, I give up. I'll also go in for sport then, and we'll be
able to defend each other!
