Task 1. Read the text and choose the right answer.

Laura loves to jump rope, ride her scooter, and ride her skateboard. One day, Laura sees a hole in the shoes she likes best while riding her scooter. They are pink with hearts. Now she needs new shoes. Laura's mom takes her to the shop on Saturday morning. There are a lot of people in the shop looking for shirts, dresses and toys. Laura's mom takes her to the shoe department.

The shoe department is crowded. Laura does not mind. Laura sees a pair of red trainers with orange laces. She sees a pair of white sandals. She sees the green shoes. She wants the red trainers .

"But you do not know how to tie your laces," says Laura's mom.

"I will learn," says Laura.

Laura's mother thinks. She does not want to tie Laura's laces each morning before school. "If we buy the red trainers, you must learn to tie them before you can wear them to school," says Laura's mom.

"I will! I promise!" says Laura. She is very happy.

Laura practices tying her laces all day. She practices more on Sunday. Finally, she learns how to tie her laces. She gets to wear her new shoes to school on Monday. "I did it," she says with a big smile.
