my name is marina  demchenko. i am 15 years old. i was born in kharkov and i have been living here all my life.   my mum, dad, grandpa, (my uncle) and i live in a high building in one of sleeping areas of the city. we’ve got a cat, called alaska. it is only some months old.

  for several years i have been fond of drawing and i like it very much. i love to read novels; it's my favourite genre in literature. i like to watch funny comedies as well as melodramas, but unfortunately, due to lack of time, i can’t (=don’t) do it often. as for my appearance,

  i am thin and short. i have straight brown medium length hair and bright brown eyes. i don’t keep to some particular dress style, but i wear just what i like every other time. as for my traits of character, i think i am very sensitive; i take everything close to my heart.   i can be very emotional but sometimes even whimsical.

i'm pretty responsible and always try to do all the things up to the end. i can say about myself that i’m an ambitious and hard-working person. i am not very sociable, but i’m not quiet either.   i have a few friends with whom i communicate well. together we all are learning at the same school. i hope that we will continue to be good friends after finishing school.   now i'm in the 10th grade. (= in grade 10). our school is not very small, there are about 600 students in it.   at the moment, i do not have any favourite subjects.(or teachers). i try to study well, participate in different competitions and tournaments.      to conclude, i have not decided what i am going to become in the future, so far, but i think it’ll be something connected with design or advertising.
