SPECIFICATION OF SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENT FOR TERM 3 Review of summative assessment for term 3
Duration of the summative assessment-40 minutes
Listening - 10 minutes
Reading - 10 minutes
Writing -20 minutes
Speaking task is conducted separately.
Total marks- 22
The structure of the summative assessment
This Summative Assessment consists of 12 questions: listening, reading, writing
and speaking. Different types of tasks are used in the Summative Assessment for the
term.
Reordering tasks require learners to put options in the order of mentioning
Multiple choice tasks consist of several possible answers from which the correct
one should be selected.
True/False tasks require learners to indicate whether the provided option right or
wrong. Open-ended tasks require learners follow instructions of the task, answer
questions in words,
expressions and sentences.
Tapescript for listening task can be found in CD3. Also it can be found after the
mark scheme.
The content of the summative assessment for the 3 term should be selected on
topics "Our Health" and "Holidays and Travel" and "Reading for Pleasure

Sudbury Valley
School in Massachusetts, USA, is an unusual school. Do you hate maths?
At Sudbury, it students hate maths, they don't study it. They go to another class, such as
history or sciencel Students at the school can study a lot of different subjects, like science,
history, geography and art: Students can choose to do homework, but some prefer not to
do any! It students don't want to go to any classes, it isnt a problem. There are lots of
other activities at Sudbury. For example, some students go to drama practice. Some
students play instruments, and some go to the ICT room. In that room, they can
check
emails or play games. They can even make their own lunch in the canteen. Pizza and
pasta are the lávounte meals. Some students preter healthy salads! Students can't leave
the school, but they can walk or play sports in the school gården. There is always
something to do!
There are a few rules at Sudbury. Students can't do anything dangerous, and they can't
stay at home every day! But students are usually very happy at Sudbury. It's a popular
school!
