Saving The Planet - Some Easy Tips

We all want to reduce our impact on the environment. What can we do to make a difference? Here

We throw away a lot of items which we can use again. Did you know that recycling one tin can
save enough energy to power a television for three hours?
• We throw away a third of everything we buy at the supermarket. But at least half of the items
which we throw away are still fresh and tasty!
• Buy things which don't have much packaging. Govemments are trying to make supermarkets
reduce their use of packaging, but progress is slow.
• Rubbish in the streets looks horrible, but it is also an environmental problem. Rubbish can pollute
the water we drink and the ground we grow plants in

• Cars, motorcycles and planes all cause a lot of pollution. Try to walk or cycle. If your journey is
longer, use public transport, such as buses or trains.

Winter winter is the coldest season of the year. winter months are december, january and february. the weather is very cold. spring spring comes straight after long cold winter time and brings three wonderful months – march, april and may. everybody usually is looking forward to spring because it is a very nice and beautiful season. the weather is getting warmer and warmer, everything is changing, the nature is waking up. summer after spring there comes summer. summer months are june, july and august. it is warm. the sky is blue and cloudless. autumn after summer comes autumn. september, october and november are autumn months. the weather is very changeable in this season. you can see yellow, red, brown leaves everywhere.
