My College. The merry-go-round of college life is something that one never forgets. It's a fascinating, fantastic, fabulous experience. I am a first-year student of the Medical College at present. The College is a part of Belgorod State University. I passed my entrance examinations and was admitted into the college. Students with 11 classes study for 3 years at our college and students with 9 classes study for 4 years. Most of us get scholarships and have all the necessary textbooks. All of us attend our classes regularly and never miss the lectures. The first-year curriculum includes many subjects. Anatomy is the most important subject in the first year. We also learn foreign languages: English, German and Latin. . Our college is very large. There are no classrooms on the ground floor. There is a cloakroom, a dining-room, a canteen and a gym there. The library is situated on the first floor. There are a lot of interesting books in the library. There is a media centre, a teachers' room, the college administration. The classrooms and computer rooms are on the second floor. Mv favourite classroom is the Museum of Anatomy on the fourth floor. The classes begin on the first of September and end in June. We have 2 vacations a year: winter and summer vacation' We go to the college every day except Sunday. On weekdays we work hard and on Sunday we have a rest. Classes at our college begin at half past eight in the morning and end at twenty minutes to two in the afternoon. There are special well-equipped laboratories for practical work in the medical college. The students have practice there before they go to different hospitals and clinics where they learn how to take care of patients. For practical studies every group is divided into 2 or 3 parts (brigades). The main form of practical studies is independent work of the students under the direction of a teacher. The teaching staff of our college consists of experienced teachers, doctors and pharmaceutists. After finishing the theoretical course and practical work the students must take the state examinations. Students of the medical college receive a complete secondary education and different specialities: a nurse, a dentist, a dental mechanic, a pharmaceutist, a midwife, a doctor's assistant. Some students of our college take an active part in scientific circles. Others go in for sports. They are members of different sport societies and take part in sporting contests. Our college has a very long history. It was founde70 years ago. There are many remarkable customs and traditions here. That's why we are very proud that we are students of the medical college.
