The Longest Day

This story happened a few years ago when British people could go on a day trip to France without a passport. It is about a Mr. and Mrs. Elham who went on a day trip to Boulogne.
When they (1) _____ their shopping, the couple (2) ______ for a stroll to see the sights of the town. Unfortunately, they didn’t (3) ______ much French and couldn’t really (4) ______ the street signs, so they (5) ______ completely lost. The French people (6) _______ were very kind and eventually they (7) _______ a lift to the railway station.
As the last ferry (8) ______ , the Elhams (9) _______ to go to Paris and (10)______ their way back to Dover from there.
