Lance Armstrong was born in Plano, Texas on 18th September, 1971. (INTEREST) in sports from an early age, he got involved in biking, (RUN) and swimming. But it wasn’t until his teens that he realized he wanted a career as a cyclist.
After competing in the Olympic Games in Barcelona in 1992, he began to compete (PROFESSION). He won several titles in 1993 and became the World Champion in Oslo, Norway. Slowly, Armstrong was starting to make a name for (HE). The highlight of his career was in 1995, when he became the number one cyclist (NATION). Yet disaster struck a year later.
