He made the kite from wood and bamboo, which were later replaced by paper. The best season for kite flying is spring because this activity requires a gentle wind and warm weather. Every year in the spring in the Weifang area, Shandong Province, almost all families go out to fly the kite and to have a pienic on sunny and windy days.
