my wife jill scoffs at the national football league. she has reimagined its acronym: the no family league. that happened a few years back when the nfl began playing and televising games on thursday nights. another family distraction in her eyes, which by now were rolling like weezie jefferson's.

"so, now they are playing on weekends and weeknights? the nfl doesn't like families does it? " she huffed.
