The publication presents an analysis of the problem of child, adolescent and family violence in the sphere of interpersonal communication with peers and adults, the mechanisms of the influence of screen violence on the sphere of family relations. The author presents an analysis of the attitude of a minor audience to screen violence, changes in behavior, development of adolescents that occur under the influence of violence on the screen and in real life. The popular scientific publication is aimed at helping parents in the family education of children and adolescents experiencing the negative impact of screen violence, the ability to solve emerging family problems by non-violent methods, showing mutual respect and trust. The publication contains guidelines for parents, a selection of materials for conducting conversations with adolescents; normative and legal documents concerning the access of minors to the media culture works containing violence and cruelty. The publication also discloses the rehabilitation and relaxation possibilities of media education (a special direction in pedagogy, advocating the study of mass communication for schoolchildren and students), which can be successfully applied in the process of family education of adolescents. The appendix contains: the text of the Federal Law "On the Protection of Children from Information Harmful to Their Health and Development", the thoughts of famous people about the family, parents, raising children; recommendations for parents; a dictionary of basic terms in media education, sample topics and questions for discussing films with teenagers, etc.
