the person who i admire the most is yuri gagarin. he was born on the 9th march 1934, in klushino village, smolensk region. he is famous as the first man in the space.

yuri gagarin was born in peasant family. his father was a woodworker and his mother worked at the milk plant. in 1941 he went to school and the great patriotic war began. he had to break his studying off. in 1951 yuri gagarin entered the saratov industrial college. three years later he came to saratov aeroclub. in 1955 gagarin achieved success, graduated from the college with honors and he took a flight on the plane for the first time in his life.

after his graduation, gagarin called up for the army. he was one of twenty candidates to fly into the space. gagarin became one of three leaders in the first detachment. on the 12th april 1961 yuri gagarin became the first man who flew into the space by a launch vehicle called “vostok-1”.
