There is almost nothing in our lives that is not touched by language.some people learn foreign languages for travelling, studying abroad or for business, others want to read books, see films or sing songs in the original.nowadays english has taken the position of a global language.in some countries it is used as the mother tongue, and in others people learn it as the second language at schools.there is no doubt that english is the language of communication between the people of different cultures.it is also the language of computers that help to communicate with the people around the world through the internet technologies and e-mail.people use english in various fields of life such as business, science, economics, technology, medicine and aviation.in addition, it is the language which is used in tourism and travelling.there are many ways of learning a foreign language at school.to master english pupils have grammar and vocabulary drills, read texts, make up dialogues, learn words in isolation and in context, write tests and speak about different things.if you want to brush up your english, you can watch videos and educational programmes, play games, have concerts and parties in english.many people learn foreign languages outside school or after classes.they take an english course outside school or have private lessons at home, have a pen pal or just go to an english speaking country.teenagers can go to an international camp or have a student exchange with a foreign school.english has become a necessity today and we need to practise it more if we want to speak english more fluently and correctly.

    at last holidays came! i was very happy! i didn't have to get up early in the morning and run to school. i could stay in the bed till midday. but i didn't want to sleep. there were a lot of things to do. the weather was fine so my friends and i went for a walk every day. it was fun!     then i spent a week in the village where my grandfather and grandmother lived. it was great. i drank milk and ate a lot of tasty food which my granny prepared for me. i have many friends in this village because i go there every holidays. we made snowmen and played snowballs. also i found some interesting books once my father read.     but winter holidays were over and i returned to my city again. i liked my holidays very much. наконец наступили каникулы! я был счастлив! я не должен был вставать рано утром и бежать в школу. я мог оставаться в постели до полудня. но я не хотел спать. было так много дел. погода была хорошая, так что мои друзья и я ходили гулять каждый день. это было весело! затем я провел месяц в деревне, где живут мои дедушка и бабушка . это было здорово. я пил молоко и ел много вкусной пищи, которую моя бабушка готовила для меня. у меня много друзей в этой деревне, потому что я езжу туда каждые каникулы. мы слепили снеговика и играли в снежки.но зимние каникулы закончились и  я вернулся в свой город. мне понравились мои каникулы.
