Надо составить 5 вопросов по тексту: every boy and girl knows that there are hundreds of different animals in the world. and yet, if you asked the question what your favourite animal is, almost every boy and girl would answer without hesitation, "the dog”. all agree that the dog is the best companion for children. mr.dog always enters so thoroughly into the games and enjoyment of his little master or mistress. he quickly understands what is required of him. have you ever seen st.bernard dogs? many years ago they were named so after a monastery high up in the alps. after the monks had bred them, the dogs were used for guideing travelers through the snowbound passes. if a traveler stayed from his pass and became lost in the snowdrifts, the dogs rescued him. the dogs worked in pairs. when they found the traveler who was lying in the snow, they tried to dig him out. if the dogs couldn't help the man, one of them went back to the monastery to fetch the monks while the other remained with the lost who perhaps had got some injuries. since that time st.bernard dogs have been the most intelligent and devoted to their masters.
