To begin with i’d like to say that choosing a career and getting a job are two of the most important things every person does in a lifetime. it’s not a simple matter to choose a career at my age, because a career chosen by chance or in a hurry can spoil my life or have a strong influence on it. it makes the choice so vitally important. there are four synonyms: an occupation, a profession, a trade and a career. an occupation is an activity in which one engages.a profession is an occupation, for which you need special training or special education. for example: if you want to be a doctor, you must know biology and a chemistry to know how to help a person. a trade is a skilled occupation, especially in handicraft, an occupation that requires mechanical skill. a career is an occupation that you have or hope to have for most of your life. there are old and new professions. old professions have existed for ages, for example: a teacher, abuilder, a doctor. undoubtedly there are new professions that have appeared as a result of the development of modern technologies and industries: a computer programmer, a manager. i can’t avoid mentioning the fact that some jobs are more popular than others, because they are very stable (a teacher, a doctor, a lawyer, a dentist) prestigious (a journalist, an architect), fashionable (a manager, a designer, an architect) and highly paid(a manager, a film star, a singer) that others. some jobs also are traditionally considered to be “men’s”, for example: scientists, pilots and some “women’s”, for example: teachers, doctors. there are also several jobs in which both men and women work successfully, and women can cope with many jobs, which have always been men’s privileges (drivers, architects, designers). of course, it isn’t an easy task to make the right choice of a job. in my opinion a person must choose a job that is more interesting for him.

It is always interesting to know what other people think about us. this is particularly the case with russia because our country was closed most of the 20th century. russia is much more open to outsiders now fortunately. however there still a lot of myths and misconceptions about who are and now we live. to give an example foreicners are often under the impression that russians are cold and reserved. in fact,we are very warm-hearted and generous when you get to know us. next,there is rhe mistaken belief that winters are  unbearably cold everywhere. in fact, the south of russia has a very mild climate and there are many days in winter when the temperature ia above zero,even in moscow. that there are critics of our coisine who say it is bland and tasteless a diet of bread and potatoes. these people have not tried delightful dishes like the wonderfully named herring under a fur coat. as mentioned above,such myth are understandable. however, as russia plays a fuller role in the international community,attitudes will change and there will be less ignorance about our country.
