Did you see othello on television last night? the opera, you mean. no, i didn’t. i was out. i saw it and quite enjoyed it. did you? i thought you didn’t approve of television. i don’t as a regular thing, but i happened to be round at my sister’s and she wanted to see it. so i watched it too. have you thought any more about getting a set? no, i don’t think i shall. though there’s a good deal of pressure, of course. from your family? from my daughter, in particular. all her school friends talk about it so much. i know. you’d think they never did anything else but sit glued to the television screen. that’s mostly what i object to, the time it wastes. it isn’t the television that wastes the time. it’s you. i know that. but i have a deep distrust of myself. so it’s probably better to avoid the occasion of sin. don’t you think? переведите

Вы смотрели "oтелло" по тв вчера вечером? я имею ввиду оперу. нет. меня не было дома. я смотрела её и получила большое удовольствие. правда? я думала, что ты не одобряешь тв. регулярно нет, но так случилось,что я была у моей сестры и она хотела посмотреть её. поэтому я тоже посмотрела. ты не подумываешь больше о приобретении тв? не думаю, что приобрету. хотя, конечно, есть сильное давление. от твоей семьи?   особенно от моей дочери. и все её школьные друзья так много говорят об этом.  я знаю. представь, если бы они ничего больше не делали, но только липли к тв. это главное, против чего я возражаю, это трата времени. время крадёт не тв. вы сами. я знаю это. у меня глубокое недоверие к себе. так может быть лучше избегать греха. как ты думаешь?  

school  really plays an important role in our life. you may like it or you may not but we spend so much time at school that it becomes our second home. and no doubt this is true. what is the role of school in modern age? first of all it is making students literate. all students study for eleven years to get knowledge. and the most important role of school is giving knowledge. there are students who like studying because they are doing well in most subjects and they are going to continue their education after school, get higher education. but for those who are not successful in schooling and who are always pressed by their parents and teachers school becomes boring and not interesting.

the education given at  our school  is of a very high standard. i'm a good student actually and i don't have many problems with schooling. i generally get on quite well with the teachers. i am quite successful in class and i usually go to school with pleasure, because i like my school and my teachers.

i think school gives me not only knowledge. children are taught real life there.  school  helps us understand our life better. school is a place where we create and develop our relationships, are taught to be tolerant and respect one another. and school teaches us principles and how not to lose face in difficult situations.
