liza: can you tell me about you and your family, philip?

philip: there are four people in my family. i have a brother, who is eleven.

liza: what does ireland look like?     i picture ireland like the place where everything is green and where it is warm. could you tell me about its landscape, please?

philip:   ireland is different from other countries in many ways. we don't have skyscrapers or very large cities. but we have a beautiful green landscape that's why the country is called the emerald isle.

liza: what is your opinion of dublin?

philip:   our capital is a small city but it has the largest population in ireland. about one and a half million people live in our city. the people are open and friendly.

liza: california is a good place to live in. and what about dublin? what are good things about living in dublin for teenagers?

philip:   i think dublin is a good place to live in. i like everything here. the city i live in has a good geographical position. there are a lot of places to go to with friends. i like going to a local club to listen to my favourite rock band.

филипп: ирландия отличается от других стран во многих вещах. у нас нет небоскребов и крупных городов.  но у нас есть прекрасный зеленый ландшафт, вот почему страна называется изумрудным островом.

liza:   каково ваше мнение о дублине?

филипп:   наша столица - небольшой город, но у него самая большая численность населения в ирландии. около полутора миллионов человек живут в нашем городе. люди открыты и дружелюбны.

liza:   калифорния - хорошее место для проживания. а как насчет дублина? чем жизнь в дублине хороша для подростков?  

филипп:   я думаю, что дублин является хорошим местом для жизни. мне здесь все нравится. город занимает хорошее положение. есть много мест, чтобы пойти с друзьями. я люблю ходить в местный клуб, чтобы послушать свою любимую рок-группу.

liza:   считается, что жизнь в ирландии спокойная и медленная.что вы думаете об этом? филипп:   с одной стороны у нас спокойная жизнь в некоторых частях страны. но с другой стороны жизнь напряженная и быстрая в крупных городах, к примеру в дублине. миллион автомобилей проезжает через городские районы каждый день.
