1. we went the theatre last night. – прошлой ночью, значит прошлое время и используется past simple. 2. he usually writes in red ink. - usually указывает на повторяющееся действие значит present simple. 3. she was playing the piano when our guests arrived last night. - last night указывает на прошлое время, а when на конкретное время в прошлом, указывая на то, что произошло прерывание действия которое происходило в течение долгого времени, то есть was playing, а второй глагол просто в past simple ставится. надеюсь понятно, я не хорошо объясняю. 4. we are doing an english exercise at the moment. - present continuous потому что на данный момент. 5. where did you go for your holidays last year? - past simple вопрос потому что "прошлый год". 6. we met only yesterday and have already decided to get married. первый глагол про вчера поэтому просто past simple, а второй глагол с already используется present perfect. 7. we haven't lived in england for the last two years. - for указывает на present perfect, здесь говорится что действие началось в прошлом, продолжается сейчас и возможно продлится в будущем. 8. i've lost my keys; i cannot remember when i last saw them. - первое present perfect по той же причине что и выше, потому что во второй части говорится что он/она не помнят когда последний раз видел ключи, а значит потерял в прошлом, но до сих пор не нашел в настоящем. второе в past simple, честно не знаю как объяснить почему так, возможно из-за last, то есть последний раз в прошлом без уточнения определенного времени. 9. whenever he goes to town nowadays, he spends a lot of money. - whenever указывает на постоянное действие на настоящем времени (из-за nowadays), значит present simple. 10. they are preparing the christmas dinner today. - today указывает на данный момент значит present continuous. 11. sophie was ill yesterday. - past simple из-за вчера. 12. the museum opens at 10 everyday. - каждый день, повторяющееся действие, значит present simple. 13. sarah has four dogs, three cats and a bird. she loves animals! - present simple потому что говорится об обычном действие в настоящем в широком смысле слова, можно даже сказать о постоянной привычке человека. 14. your girlfriend called yesterday. - вчера указание на прошлое время значит past simple. 15. richard and pamela walk five kilometres everyday. - каждый день, значит повторяющееся действие и будет present simple. 16. jeremy doesn't know how to play chess. - так же как и в 13 предложение. 17. ellen doesn't work on sundays. - не работает по воскресеньям, повторяющееся действие и будет present simple. 18. the kids are watching tv right now. - сейчас значит present continuous.
