Кимэп летняя конференция под названием " внешняя политика после событий 11-ого сентября: перспективы азии и европы" прошла в казахстанском институте менеджмента, и прогнозирования.  в конференции приняли участие профессора,учёные и дипломаты из южной кореи,сша,испании и казахстана. внимание публики было в основном обращено к проблемам терроризма. на повестке дня стояла и  исламская проблема во взаимодействии запада и востока. все участники конференции пришли к выводу,что исламскую религию никак нельзя отождествлять с терроризмом.  борьба против терроризма невозможна при участии только одной страны.  министр обороны сша недавно совершил визит в астану,столицу казахстана. одним из основных моментов его поездки стали длительные переговоры министров обороны сша и казахстана при участии президента рк нурсултана назарбаева. министр обороны казахстана отметил,что сразу же после трагических событий 11-ого сентября в нью-йорке и вашингтоне республика казахстан объявила о поддержке сша в борьбе с терроризмом.
