ex.3 1. the police-officer inquired what the shop owner`s name was. 2. the police-officer wanted to know whether the shop owner had seen the robbers. 3. the police-officer inquired what they had been wearing. 4. the police-officer asked the shop owner how he thought they had got in. 5. the police-officer wanted to know what they took. 6. the police-officer inquired if that had ever happened before.
