It was a dark and stormy evening when i arrived home from work.. i felt tired and was glad to be  at home. as i was taking off my coat in the hall, i heard a strange noise coming from the kitchen. i felt afraid because i thought there was a burglar in there. i stood there silently trying to decide what to do . then i decided   to go into a kitchen to investigate. i took a deep breath, picked up my umbrella and slwly opened the kitchen door. i laughed with relief when i saw my neighbour`s cat on the kitchen table. it had come in through an open window to get out of the rain. i tok the cat and returned it to my neighbour. "oh, there you are! " said the neighbour. "you scared me to death! " she said to cat. "it scared me to death too! " i  said   laughing.
